Body found near the funeral pyre of missing teenager Keeley Rodney

A vehicle containing human remains was discovered in a California Lake near the last presumed location of missing teenager Keely Rodney, officials said Sunday night

The discovery of Proser Lake, about 35 miles west of Reno, Nevada, was announced Sunday afternoon by a private group of divers known as Adventures with Purpose

The neighboring Placer County Sheriff's Office later confirmed a dive team report that a body was inside, but said the identity of the deceased had not been determined.

Officials said they were looking for the 2013 Honda CR-V that Rodney was driving

A vehicle pulled from the lake on Sunday night was quickly covered with a sheet of tarpaulin

Rodney and his car went missing around 12:30 p.m. at a party near Lake's Proser Family Campground. On 6 August, after the last information was transmitted by his cellphone.

Rodney was last seen on August 6 at an outdoor party with more than 100 others near the campground in Truckee, California.
